The philosophy of our namesake silversmith, Georg Jensen, is to create innovative designs that are both beautiful and functional. Nature was his core source of inspiration. Symbols of the natural world weave a common thread throughout his designs: fruits, blossoms, leaves and organic shapes. His artisanal skill and artistic talent combined with his continuous ability to identify and support design talent was the foundation on which he built Georg Jensen in Copenhagen in 1904.
We are proud of our heritage, a beginning that acted as a spearhead of modern design that resonates to this day. But we are also aware that our history is the culmination of our founder Georg Jensen’s unwavering commitment to innovation. Always looking forward while embracing the earnings and traditions of yesterday. Since we began, we created truly timeless Scandinavian design, imbued with the calm dynamism of nature. It’s this principle of timelessness that drives everything we do and communicate - just as it always has.
Our craft is built from generation upon generation of applied knowledge. This means everything we produce is at the pinnacle of craftsmanship; whether forged from silver, gold, steel or set with gems. It is our hallmark of quality and shall continue to be so.
